About us - Who are we?
Somewhere between kilometre 80 and a well-deserved coffee stop, this brand was born.
I'm a road cyclist from Leuven, Belgium. I wanted cycling clothing I actually wanted to wear off the bike — something with personality, something that made people smile, something that didn't take itself too seriously. What I found out there was either too corporate, too generic, or frankly not good enough quality to justify the price tag.
So I did what any reasonable cyclist would do on a rest day instead of actually resting: I started my own brand.
Cycliste Touriste is for the rider who suffers on climbs and laughs about it at the café. For the partner who buys "just one more jersey." For the dad who disappears every Sunday morning and comes back slightly too pleased with himself. For anyone who lives on two wheels — whether you're chasing a KOM, a sunset, or just a decent excuse to eat pasta guilt-free.
But here's where we do things differently.
We actually care about what goes into our clothing. Not in the way brands say they care and then quietly don't — but in the way that means we chose organic cotton, got certified, and only work with factories that treat people properly.
Every Cycliste Touriste piece is made with organic cotton and eco-friendly dyes that are kinder to your skin and to the planet. Our fabrics carry the OEKO-TEX® certification — which means every thread has been tested for harmful substances and passed. What touches your skin after a long ride should be clean. Full stop.
We're also PETA approved vegan — no animal-derived materials anywhere in our production process. And we work exclusively with Fair Wear certified manufacturing partners — which means the people making your favourite cycling tee are working in decent conditions, paid fairly, and treated with respect.
These aren't just labels we stuck on a website to feel good about ourselves. They're standards we chose because the roads and mountains we ride in should still be there for the next generation of obsessed cyclists — and the people making our clothing deserve the same consideration as the planet they live on.
